CV Writing for Healthcare Professionals in Dubai (2026)

Healthcare CVs in Dubai are screened in a fixed order: licence first, clinical scope second, everything else third. Most rejections happen at step one — not because the licence is missing, but because its status is unclear on the document. This guide sets out the structure that survives both the regulator logic and the parsing software.

If Saudi Arabia is also on your list, the document pack changes — see Saudi vs UAE healthcare documents.

Licensing definitions decide what counts: what the Unified PQR says about experience, internship and good standing.

The gate

Licence status decides whether you are read

Clinical practice in Dubai requires licensing by the Dubai Health Authority; federal facilities run under MOHAP, and Abu Dhabi is a separate jurisdiction again. Recruiters filter on licence status before anything else, because it decides whether they can hire you at all.

State it in the first third of page one, precisely: licence held (authority, number, validity), eligibility letter in hand, or exam stage with dates. Ambiguity here is the single most common reason a strong clinical profile is set aside without a conversation.

Structure

The healthcare CV structure that works here

1. Header + licence line — name, contacts, then licence status immediately.

2. Clinical profile — specialty, sub-specialty, years, settings (tertiary, private group, clinic), patient population.

3. Experience with clinical volume. Beds, caseload, procedures with counts, acuity mix. Volume evidence is to healthcare what revenue is to sales — it is how scope is sized.

4. Education and credentials, in full — degrees, residency/fellowships, certifications with issuing bodies and dates. Attested where required: the attestation chain.

5. Systems and standards — EMR platforms by name, JCI or equivalent accreditation exposure, quality and audit participation.

Formatting follows the universal parsing rules — one column, no graphics, standard headings: the Dubai CV format guide.

By role

Emphasis by profession

Physicians: procedures and outcomes, complication and audit participation, teaching and research where real. Nurses: unit type, ratios, acuity and certifications — detailed separately in nurse resumes for DHA and MOH jobs. Pharmacists: setting, volume, clinical services — see the pharmacist resume guide. Allied health: modality, caseload and equipment. Healthcare leaders: the emphasis flips to governance — accreditation cycles led, quality indicators moved, budgets and headcount: healthcare leadership CVs.
