Gulf Pre-Arrival Readiness Checker

Applying to GCC jobs from India, Pakistan, the Philippines or anywhere else abroad? Before the first application, up to three documentation gates apply — and a CV standard that differs from every origin market. This checker tells you which gates apply to your destination, origin and profession, with every rule cited to its source — and it is honest where a rule is corroborated rather than official.

As of August 2026, three documentation systems shape a Gulf job application from abroad: UAE degree attestation for skilled work permits, Saudi Professional Accreditation (PVP) covering 1,007 professions across 160 countries with visa issuance increasingly tied to it through Qiwa, and the Saudi Skill Verification exams for listed technical trades from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Egypt. None of them is handled by your CV writer — but all of them punish a CV whose job title doesn’t match the qualification being verified.

What applies to you?

Runs in your browser — nothing you enter is sent or stored. This is guidance about published rules, not a visa or hiring decision, and Labeeb is not a visa agent or recruiter.

The Gulf-Ready CV Standard

Healthcare professionals: licensing adds its own definitions on top of this standard — see the Unified PQR and your CV.

What GCC recruiters and parsers actually expect — the standard origin-market CV services routinely miss.

Format & length

Two pages, reverse-chronological, single-column. Ornate multi-column templates die in applicant tracking parsers — and with screening software reading CVs in seconds, what the parser can’t read doesn’t exist.

The personal block

Nationality, current location, visa status, languages, availability. This block is expected in the Gulf and absent from most Western and origin-market formats. Date of birth and photo are sector-dependent choices, not defaults.

The three overseas doubts

Every overseas application gets skimmed with three questions: where are you, when can you start, do you understand sponsorship? Answer all three in the summary and availability line — before the recruiter has to ask.

Photo norms

Expected in hospitality, aviation and client-facing roles; optional — often better omitted — in engineering, tech and MNC corporate applications. One rule applied everywhere is the commodity-service tell.

English + Arabic

For government-facing and senior Saudi roles, a bilingual CV counts double — but only a true Arabic rewrite in MSA, right-to-left, not a mirrored machine translation. Keep two clean single-language files: mixed-script documents confuse parsers.

Titles that verify

In the professional-verification era, your CV title, degree title and application profession must tell one story. Title inflation — “engineer” on the CV over a technician qualification — can now cost a Saudi accreditation certificate, not just an interview.

Saudi professional verification, in plain words

PVP — for degree professions

Professional Accreditation verifies qualifications for 1,007 professions in occupation groups 1–3 across 160 countries — engineering, health, finance and more — against the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations, in up to 21 days via the pacc.sa platform run by Takamol for the Ministry. 2026 reporting ties specialized-occupation visas and iqama renewals to it through Qiwa. Corroborated; portal qvp.pacc.sa.

SVP — for listed trades

A theory + practical exam for technical trades — plumbers, electricians, AC technicians, mechanics and an expanding list — taken at approved centres before travel. Applies to Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Egypt, with the Philippines and Nepal coming into scope. Corroborated; Pakistan side official via NAVTTC.

What it means for your documents

Verification checks whether your qualification fits your job title. The writing-layer consequence: a CV, degree and application that disagree about what you are can cost the certificate the visa depends on. We make the paperwork tell one consistent story — we do not process verifications, and no one you find on Telegram should either.

The corridors, in official numbers

India → Gulf

4,344,008 overseas Indians in the UAE and 2,750,551 in Saudi Arabia as of January 2026, per the Ministry of External Affairs — the Gulf’s largest professional corridor. Official-primary (mea.gov.in); Saudi’s 2023 census counts differ by methodology.

Pakistan → Saudi

530,256 of Pakistan’s 762,499 overseas placements in 2025 went to Saudi Arabia — nearly 70% — while first-half 2025 UAE registrations fell to 13,865 from 229,000+ in 2022. Corroborated (BEOE via Pakistani press).

Philippines → UAE

A record 2.7 million OFW deployments in 2025, with the UAE the #1 land-based destination at 397,892 — overtaking Saudi Arabia’s 386,699. Corroborated (DMW via Philippine press).

Egypt, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kenya and Nigeria are meaningful corridors too — where official numbers aren’t published at a grade we can stand behind, the checker says so instead of inventing them.

The part no checker can do

A Gulf-standard CV that survives both readers

Human recruiters skimming for the three doubts, and parsers reading in seconds — written to the standard on this page, with a title that verifies. CV writing

A LinkedIn profile that matches

Gulf recruiters cross-check the profile against the CV before the first call — inconsistency reads as fiction. LinkedIn optimization

The Arabic half

A true bilingual CV for Saudi and government-facing applications — native MSA, right-to-left, from a studio that works in both languages daily. Start with the CV
