Use both specialist agencies and employer career sites

Energy jobs may be advertised by the operator, an engineering or maintenance contractor, or a recruitment agency acting for a client. These are different employers and contracts. Start with the exact role, location and eligibility, then verify the application route on the agency’s or employer’s own site. An agency profile is evidence that it operates in a market; it is not proof of an open vacancy today or an endorsement by Labeeb.

If you are targeting a named operator, check its official careers page as well. For example, Saudi Aramco’s international-applicant process describes its own hiring route. Do not assume a contractor assignment at an operator’s site is direct employment with that operator.

Search for the work you actually perform

“Oil and gas jobs” spans petroleum engineering, process safety, drilling, maintenance, project controls, commissioning, procurement and finance. Use the technical title, credential and project stage in your search. A Saudi role, Qatar LNG assignment and UAE refinery turnaround can have different nationality, licensing, mobilisation and employment conditions. The vacancy and hiring entity must confirm them; this article cannot predict which company is recruiting or who will pass screening.

1. List your exact discipline, equipment or systems, certifications and locations where you can lawfully work.
2. Open the current job posting and verify the employing entity, contract type, location, eligibility and closing date.
3. Match your CV to the role with evidence you can substantiate: asset or project type, responsibility, method and measurable result where disclosable.
4. Apply through the published channel, retain the reference and review any response from the official company domain.

For example, a turnaround planner can state the shutdown scope, scheduling tool and change-control responsibilities without inventing a plant-wide safety result. A CV does not need a supposed universal ATS keyword density or an unsupported claim of automatic shortlisting.

Verify the recruiter and prepare a truthful application

Before sending identity documents or paying for any service, check the vacancy against the agency’s official site and confirm the contact domain. Ask who the employer is, what stage the role is at, and whether any work-permit or relocation step is genuinely part of the offer. Do not pay an unverified intermediary for a promised job, interview or visa. If a role is advertised on a direct operator site, use that site’s application route.
