What happens in a mock viva
1. We read your thesis
Your Academic expert reads the thesis you submitted, and your slides if your defence uses them, before your first session.
2. Questions from your work
Questions are drawn from your own thesis — your contribution, methods, findings and limitations — not from a generic list.
3. The mock
A 60-minute session run in examiner style. You answer in your own words; the expert probes, follows up and challenges as an examiner might.
4. Written feedback
After the session you receive written feedback on how you answered: where you were clear, where you hesitated and what to prepare next.
5. Rehearse again
In the Viva Prep Pack and Complete Defence Prep, further mocks let you practise again on the points the first session exposed.
6. You defend
On the day, you face your examiners alone. The preparation is ours to support; the answers and the defence are yours.

How corrections support works
Whether the comments come from your examiners after the viva or from your supervisor before submission, the work follows the same three steps.
1. Map every comment
We triage the examiner or supervisor report so that every comment is listed, located in your thesis and matched to a planned correction. Nothing is left unanswered.
2. Response table
A table that records each comment, the change you made and where to find it — the format examiners and supervisors can check quickly. You decide every response.
3. Edit your revision
You write the revisions. We edit the chapters you revise for clarity, consistency and accuracy against the report, so the corrected thesis reads as one document.
If a comment asks you to re-run or re-report an analysis, data analysis support works on your own dataset and explains each change so you can make and defend it.
If your examiners ask for new analysis or new sections, you write them. We can edit what you write, but we never write new content for submission.
