Bilingual Arabic-English Company Profiles for the UAE Market

A bilingual profile works when each reader can understand the same verified business facts in natural language. Decide who will use each version before translating and designing the document.

Quick answer

When does a UAE company need both languages?

A bilingual profile may help when a business sends the same credentials to Arabic- and English-reading buyers, partners, institutions or employees. It is not automatically required for every company or every tender. Check the recipient’s instructions first: some ask for a specific language, document type, registration record or certified translation. A marketing profile cannot replace an official certificate.

The central decision is whether the two audiences need identical detail. A procurement reviewer may care about licence details, scope and references; a prospective partner may need capabilities, geographic reach and contact details. Agree one factual source of truth, then adapt emphasis only where the recipient permits it.

Production method

Build the profile in six controlled steps

  1. Define use: list the recipients, format, deadline, required language and whether a separate Arabic or English PDF is more useful than a side-by-side layout.
  2. Verify facts: confirm the legal name, trade names, licence scope, locations, service claims, certifications, client permissions and contact channels with the business owner.
  3. Write the source narrative: explain who the company serves, what it delivers and why the proof is credible. Do not make the design compensate for vague claims.
  4. Localise meaning: have a qualified Arabic and English reviewer check terminology, tone, names, dates and sector wording. Machine translation alone may miss commercial context.
  5. Design both reading paths: plan right-to-left and left-to-right layouts, tables, figures, captions and page navigation rather than reversing the English PDF mechanically.
  6. Run final sign-off: compare both versions against the approved fact sheet, then record which version and date were issued.

Keep a shared glossary for recurring service names, product names, titles and technical terms. If the business has approved Arabic legal wording, use it consistently and do not invent a new translation.

Worked example

What should a proof-led service section say?

Weak: “We are a leading provider of comprehensive solutions across the GCC.”

More useful: identify the service, buyer, delivery geography and a verifiable proof point. For example: “The team prepares bilingual product documentation for distributors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia; the profile includes three approved project examples with scope and completion year.”

The example is illustrative, not a claim about Labeeb or a client. In both languages, the service scope and dates must agree. If a client reference is confidential, use a permissioned anonymised description or omit it.

Common version problems

  • The Arabic pages describe a different package or company history from the English pages.
  • Logos, certification marks or project figures appear without permission or current evidence.
  • Right-to-left tables preserve English column order and become difficult to read.
  • A static PDF carries an outdated phone number, service list or licence reference after the website changes.
Questions

Bilingual profile questions

Should both languages share one document?

It depends on the buyer and delivery channel. One file can be convenient; separate files often read more naturally and let a buyer forward the relevant version. Test the chosen format on phone and desktop before release.

Can existing English copy simply be translated?

Translation can be a starting point, but the Arabic version needs native editorial review, factual comparison and a right-to-left design check. Never infer that a translated claim has been approved by the business.

Can a company profile win a tender?

A profile can support credibility. Registration, eligibility, technical compliance, price and evaluation follow the buyer’s own process. No document design guarantees an award.

Next step

Start with the audience and approved facts.

Share the current profile, intended readers, required languages and any tender or partner instructions. Labeeb can discuss writing, Arabic review and design scope, then provide a customised quotation. Business documentation follows the consultation route.
