Thesis deadlines and rules to plan around in the UAE

Each university sets its own gates, and the dates are firm. A few that drive timelines this year:

University of Sharjah, 2026–27: the last date for the College of Graduate Studies to receive a thesis proposal or a degree-award recommendation is 15 December 2026 (Fall) and 11 May 2027 (Spring); for Summer, the award recommendation is due by 2 August 2027.

The University of Dubai arranges PhD dissertation editing itself. AUS and Ajman University require any help to be acknowledged, and the British University in Dubai allows only proofreaders on its authorised list. Many others, such as KSU, KAUST and the University of Bahrain, require an error-free thesis without addressing editors. Ask your supervisor first, and declare our help where your programme asks.
